Chilli-Lime Chargrilled Oysters

 🌶 Perfect Pairing: House of Henkel Gretchen Sauvignon Blanc

Ingredients:

  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked (on the half shell)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 small red chili (or ½ tsp chili flakes), minced
  • Zest & juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Method:

  1. Mix butter, chili, lime zest & juice, honey, cilantro, and salt.
  2. Heat grill or broiler to medium-high.
  3. Spoon butter onto oysters.
  4. Grill 3–4 mins until butter bubbles.
  5. Serve with lime wedges and extra chili for heat lovers.


Tasting Tip: The chili’s heat makes the wine’s citrus pop, while honey smooths the acidity.
