Herb Butter Turkey and Citrus Glaze (House of Henkel Thanksgiving Table)

Flavor Harmony: The wine's citrus and minerality balance the richness of roast turkey and herb butter.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Zest of 1 lemon and 1 orange
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Mix butter, herbs, and citrus zest.

  2. Gently lift turkey skin and spread butter underneath. Rub olive oil and remaining butter on top.

  3. Roast at 325°F until internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 3 hrs).

  4. Brush with orange juice glaze during the last 30 minutes for shine and flavor.
