Crafted in Stellenbosch, South Africa’s most celebrated wine region, the House of Henkel Premium Classic Reserve reflects the depth and sophistication that define the finest South African red blends.
The 2021 vintage is produced in small batches from carefully selected vineyard parcels, bringing together varietals that complement one another to create a wine of balance, structure, and complexity. Meticulous cellar practices and thoughtful oak maturation allow the wine to develop depth while preserving the purity of the fruit.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with rich aromas of dark berries, black cherry, and plum, layered with subtle notes of cedar, baking spice, and dark chocolate from French oak aging.
On the palate, the wine is beautifully structured with velvety tannins and a core of ripe fruit balanced by freshness and elegant complexity. The finish is long and refined, revealing hints of earth, spice, and cocoa.
Cellaring & Pairing
This reserve blend is equally enjoyable upon release or after several years of cellaring, where it will continue to develop greater depth and harmony.
Perfect pairings include roasted lamb, grilled steak, slow-braised meats, mushroom dishes, and aged cheeses.
Cellaring potential: 8–12 years under proper conditions.
